Aquarian Software is committed to development and distribution of state of the art technical solutions to water resources professionals. Since 1986, Aquarian has provided technologically superior software to the engineering community. CHAN for Windows is the primary offering.

Aquarian Software was established to disseminate CHAN for Windows to the engineering and regulatory community. Our staff includes the two model authors, Rodney D. Ghioto and David A. DeLoach, and Lynne M. Ghioto, Business Manager and Customer Suport. This team wrote CHAN for their own use in the consulting field and assembled it into a package that meets their own standards and specifications for ease of use, diagnostics and execution speed.

Rod Ghioto, P.E. has written and applied hydrologic, hydrodynamic and groundwater model codes for over 30 years for both storm event and continuous integrated simulation tools. His experience also includes estuarine and water quality models as well as steady and unsteady pipe system applications. This work includes programming algorithms for explicit, implicit and alternating directon implicit (ADI) finite difference methods as well as the method of characteristice. Languages have ranged from FORTRAN to Visual C++ (Object Oriented Programming, OOP) and .NET programming environments.
Rod is an expert in hydrology and hydrodynamics (watersheds, estuaries, integrated surface/groundwater systems and stormwater) with decades of experience in the Water Resources consulting field.
